Shambala is a beautiful boutique resort nestled amidst grown trees, in the silence of a private plantation in Yercaud,Tamil Nadu.
The property consists of 18 gorgeous rooms with sprawling verandas, fantastic alfresco dining, a yoga center, a conference hall, a fabulous spa, outdoor sports and several walking paths around the plantation.
We intend for Shambala to be a meditative space, where you can be one with nature, look within, get in touch with yourself and feel rejuvenated.
An ancient Tibetan story tells of a young man who set off in search of Shambala, a mythical Buddhist land, depicted in the ancient texts as the land of pure joy, peace and enlightenment.
Having traversed many mountains, he came across an old hermit, who asked him what he was searching for. “I’m looking for Shambala”, said the young man. “ In that case”, said the hermit. “Look no further”, for the kingdom of Shambala lies within you.”
